The Debut Event in the RIVER CITY FIGHT NIGHT Series!
The Event
September of 2025 had the first event in the RIVER CITY FIGHT NIGHT series where Vintage Boxing Gym was represented in more ways than one!
The event took place at Great American Ranch in Midlothian, VA. We will be having many more events here, so keep an eye out! Thanks to everyone at the venue for playing your part in making the event happen.
Due to high sales for this event, we expect future events to sell out, so keep your eyes peeled for news on the next event in the series, RED FIGHT & BLUE.
The Fights
The event featured 3 amateur bouts and 2 professional matches, all of which had members from Vintage Boxing Gym participating!
The amateur bouts saw VBG members Christopher Cody vs. Kevin Carter, Brandon Allen vs. Michael Wells, and Bryan Croson vs. Jayson Foster. Plenty of VBG members were also in attendance as well, it was great to see our community get together outside of the gym!
The professional matches included Ernest Davis vs. Vintage Boxing’s own Andrew Kim. Kim took the win, which was great to see for his debut professional fight! Kim has over a dozen amateur fights to his name. The main event was Sonya Dreiling vs. Carmen “The Momba” Gulliksen (one of our coaches!). Dreiling claimed victory over Gulliksen, but it was a great show from Gulliksen to represent Vintage!
The Outcome
We are happy to announce that because of the proceeds generated from this event, we will be announcing the first Guardian of the Gloves scholarship recipient at our next event on Nov. 5th!
